Silence-London is a new performing arts event organised for the first time on August 8th 2018, in east London. It is an imaginative mix of the top contemporary circus and dance, classical music and new unexpected combinations and collaborations between highly regarded international artists. With its roots in Lapland, this unique event offers an accessible oasis for arts and encounters of all forms, located in the most active urban environment - Silence-London!
Silence-London is a sibling of the annual Silence Festival organised in the Kaukonen village in Kittilä, Finnish Lapland, since 2010. Silence Festival was awarded with the Finnish States Arts Prize 2017 and it is a performing arts festival and an interdisciplinary platform for creation, collaboration and commission.
